Gift Bags & Boxes
The Make Your Own Gift Program for Holiday 2017 was a retail exclusive program consisting of gift bags, boxes and a snowman shaped novelty box. Working with the Q4 2016 Trend POV boards, I created various patterns and designs that delivered on the look for the season.
To design a gift collection that captures the celebration of the holiday and works with the various wax programs, home accent programs and the in store table set displays for the season.
8 POINTED STAR COLLECTION
A Pantone spot gray and opaque white where chosen to create a modern sophisticated look for this collection. A single 8 pointed star is framed by a clean white border. A diamond pattern made of the single star was created to add a bit of dimension and interest to the simple look. The bag was designed with 2 separate patterns for the front and back panels, the pattern on the left and single star on the right. The tissue paper was designed with a white base sharply edged in gray creating an elevated design approach and a nice contrast to the white border on the front panel.
This collection was designed to be displayed with the new Cookie Swap Limited Collection in store. The gold foil substrate was chosen to get a true metallic. Opaque white overprinted the foil and taking a cue from the cookie swap program, a dot burst pattern framed the joy sentiment. I created a linear cascading bubble pattern for the side panels. The tissue paper was a reverse the side panel pattern, with a white base and spot metallic cascading bubble pattern. A perfect contrast for this on trend gift set.
JACKSON FROST COLLECTION
This collection was designed to work with the Jackson Frost line of home accents. This collection takes on a graphic approach, with blacks, white and the pop of red. The black and white stripe side panels bring a trend forward approach to this snowman. The novelty snowman box was a fun gift solution to fill with your favorite sampler candles. Matching up the side panels for this box with the front panel was a little bit of a project, but the vendor did a decent job of executing the design within a releasable tolerance. See below for mechanical samples.
